Dr. Gauer did his basic medical degree from the University of Berne in Switzerland in 1983. He then specialized in general surgery and obtained his Fellowship from the Swiss College of Surgeons (FMH) in General and Trauma Surgery. His 30 years experience in surgery and traumatology brought on a special interest in vascular surgery. For many years he has worked in the University Hospitals of Berne and Zuerich, as well as in the University Hospital of Muscat in Oman. He has more than 50 presentations and publications in International Congresses and major journals. Since August 2007 he has been deputed by “Sonnenhof Swiss-Health”, one of the leading healthcare providers in Switzerland, to RAK Hospital in Ras al Khaimah, where he has been successfully carrying out the dual roles of CEO and Head of General Surgery.

Dr. Thakar did his Medical Degree from the reputed Grant medical College, Mumbai, India, in 1975 and obtained his MS degree in surgery in 1978. From 1979 to 1984 he trained in Ireland and England (The London Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow, Gruby Road Hospital Leister, Regional Hospital Limerick) and consequently qualified for the Fellowship of the Royal College in 1980.

His further career brought him from India (Pune) to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah National Hospital) and finally to RAK Hospital in 2010, where he has successfully set-up the department of Urology. His experience covers the entire field of urology including urological reconstructive pediatric surgery and urological cancer surgery.

Dr. Anup did his Master in Surgery degree in 1990 from VSS Medical College, Sambaipur, Orissa, India. After gaining proficiency in the entire spectrum of General Surgery, he has been concentrating throughout his further career on minimal access and laparoscopic surgery in the reputed Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi, Lohia Hospital, New Delhi as well as the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He thus has acquired outstanding experience in his field including laparoscopic cancer surgery, laparoscopic gynecological and urological procedures (including hysterectomy and nephrectomy) and Bariatric (Weight-loss) surgery. He is also experienced in thoracoscopic advanced surgery including pneumonectomy.

Dr. Elhadi brings with over 30 years of experience gained through his work in KSA, Sudan, UK & UAE. An MRCP from UK, he has several achievements to his credit such as setting up of renal units in King Fahd Hospital, Medina and in Saif Bin Gobash Hospital, UAE; among others. Dr, Elhady Eltayeb Abbas, has a special interest in community health with an emphasis on problems of developing countries; and in prevention of renal and non-communicable diseases. He is a regular contributor to several medical conferences and speaks regularly on radio and television on various health matters. Dr. Elhady Eltayeb Abbas has, in recognition of his contributions, been appointed Tennessee Ambassador of Goodwill by the Governor of Tennessee, USA and is an honorary citizen of Johnson City, Tennessee, USA.

Dr. N. K. Aboobacker is a qualified interventional cardiologist. He has subsequently been active in the field of hospital based interventional cardiology for many years in the UAE (Mafraq Hospital, Al Noor Hospital).

He is proficient in the management of ischemic heart disease by primary and elective Angioplasty, as well as in the management of hypertensive, valvular and arrhythmic heart disease.

Dr. Nathani has done his basic degree in Medicine from Seth Gordhanas Sunderdas (GS) Medical College & King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India in 1995. In 1998 he obtained his MD degree in Medicine from Grant Medical College & Sir Jamshedji Jeejibhoy (JJ) Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, India. He then did his DM degree in Cardiology from Topiwaia National Memorial Medical College & Bai Yamunabai Nair Ch. Hospital, Mumbai, India in 2004.

He has a rich experience of more than 11 years in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, diagnostic and therapeutic non-invasive cardiology and clinical cardiology.

One of his earliest assignments was the setting up of a modern neurosurgical unit in a geographically remote area at Bokaro General Hospital in Bokaro Steel City. Dr Hillol was instrumental in designing the entire unit single handedly over 3 years including the neurointensive care and operation theatre complex. Subsequently, he served at the reputed Safdarjang Hospital and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi under the Ministry of Health, Government of India, during the period 1993 – 2005.In 2005, the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Malaysia requested him to train indigenous neurosurgeons for that country at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kelantan. During this six- year stint while training over 20 neurosurgeons, he served with distinction and penned down two classics in medical literature titled ‘Atlas of Craniovertebral Junction surgery- Problems & Solutions’ and ‘Endoscopic Anatomy of Expanded Endonasal Approaches’.

Dr. Hillol has a wide range of interest and experience in the surgery of neurological disorders including Brain tumors, Spine instrumentation, Surgery for Stroke, Epilepsy surgery and Pediatric neurosurgery. He is credited with performing the first Bypass surgery for Skull Base Tumors and the first two- level artificial disc replacement surgery for degenerative disc disease of Lumbar spine in India. He is the member of many professional bodies in Neurosurgery and Reviewer for the Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Pradeep did his basic medical degree from Bombay University, India, in 1984 and obtained a diploma in pathology and bacteriology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Bombay in 1986. In 1988 he qualified as MD in Pathology.

He subsequently worked in several reputed institutions in India (SIR JJ Group of Hospitals Bombay, Poona Hospital, Golwilkar Laboratories, Sadhu Vaswani Mission’s Shanti Clinic) before joining Metropolis Laboratory, Dubai. He is deputed to head the Laboratory of RAK Hospital since 2007.

Dr. Sudeep did his basic degree in Dental Surgery from Mangalore University in India in 1992 and his Master Degree in 1998 from the same institution. Since 2002 he is a fellow of the Academy of general Education (FAGE) from Manipal, India. His  experience spans more than 16 years. He has been working in the UAE for more than 12 years, with stints in various polyclinics and also as Specialist Orthodontist with the Ministry of Health. His areas of special interest include Cleft Lip and Palate, Functional jaw deformities and Dental Malocclusion.
